Bringing together the ICT community to strengthen Europe’s Digital Security, Sovereignty and Resilience

On November 17 and 18, 2026, the 13th edition of the Luxembourg Internet Days will bring together more than 1,400 ICT professionals, business leaders, technology experts and industry stakeholders from Luxembourg and the Greater Region at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce. Organised by LU-CIX ASBL, the event aims to address some of the most pressing challenges facing today’s ICT professionals.

Addressing Europe’s Digital Challenges

As cybersecurity threats continue to evolve and regulatory requirements become increasingly demanding, organisations must find practical ways to protect their systems, manage risks and maintain control over their digital environments.

With contributions from Luxembourg’s three ministers, Elisabeth MARGUE, Stéphanie OBERTIN and Léon GLODEN, the programme will explore the growing impact of AI on cybersecurity, from autonomous cyberattacks and data exfiltration to AI governance and automated security operations. Sessions will also address European digital sovereignty, sovereign cloud infrastructures, threat intelligence, Zero Trust architectures, critical infrastructure protection and the practical implications of regulations such as NIS2 and DORA. Through real-world case studies, expert insights and panel discussions, participants will discover strategies to strengthen cyber resilience, secure digital services and reduce technological dependencies, while exploring how emerging technologies, open-source solutions and European cooperation can contribute to a more secure, autonomous and resilient digital ecosystem.

Three Dedicated Events for Specific Communities

Alongside the main conference programme, the Luxembourg Internet Days 2026 will host three dedicated events designed to address the specific needs of different professional communities.

IT in the Healthcare Sector – Supporting Digital Transformation in Healthcare

On November 17, the IT in the Healthcare Sector programme, to be held in French, will bring together healthcare IT professionals and decisionmakers to explore the challenges of digital transformation, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance in the healthcare sector. Topics will include Luxembourg’s next-generation shared health record (DSP) and the European Health Data Space (EHDS), NIS2 implementation, connected medical device security, critical communications and digital solutions that streamline care delivery. Through expert presentations, interactive roundtables and Q&A, participants will explore practical ways to protect sensitive health data, strengthen collective resilience and ensure that digital innovation ultimately serves both healthcare professionals and patients.

LUNOG9 – A Technical Meeting Point for Network Operators

On 17 November, LUNOG9, the conference for the Luxembourg Network Operating Group, will bring together network engineers and operators for a series of technical talks exploring the impact of AI on IP/MPLS networks, advances in optical fibre technology, and the evolution of Internet routing protocols and data analysis tools. The programme will also address critical challenges in network resilience, route leak prevention and the centralisation of Luxembourg’s Internet services, offering practical insights into how to build more secure, reliable and resilient Internet infrastructure.

Gemengen Dag – Driving Digital Transformation in Luxembourg’s Municipalities

On November 18, the Gemengen Dag, to be held in French in Luxembourgish, will bring together municipal representatives, elected officials and IT decisionmakers to explore practical solutions for smarter, more secure and resilient local public services. The programme will cover smart city technologies and data-driven decision-making, digital tools for municipalities, NIS2 compliance, GDPR, resilient document management and secure critical communications.

One Event, Two Days of Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration

By combining a broad ICT conference and exhibition with dedicated programmes for healthcare professionals, network operators and the municipal sector, the Luxembourg Internet Days event aims to encourage meaningful exchanges across the ecosystem.

The event reflects a shared ambition: to help organisations anticipate emerging threats, make informed technological choices and develop the capabilities needed to navigate an increasingly complex digital landscape.
