An award recognised throughout the entire ICT Community

The IT One Gala is an event that punctuates Luxembourg’s ICT life each year before Christmas, gathering all the decision takers and managers of the Luxembourg ICT sector. Like every year, IT One organised a competition to select the most inspiring ICT initiatives and people. PwC Luxembourg submitted its application to the “Outstanding Contribution to Luxembourg ICT” category.

The jury in charge of choosing the winners was composed of experienced and recognised professionals from the Luxemburg ICT ecosystem. The different winners were revealed during the Gala dinner, and PwC Luxembourg won the “Outstanding Contribution to Luxembourg ICT” prize.

Patrice Witz, Technology Leader said, “We are extremely proud that we were chosen for this award. For the past two years, we have significantly progressed in our technology agenda. We also recognise the importance of a strong ICT community in Luxembourg as a key enabler for the industries of tomorrow. We strive to contribute to this community in many meaningful ways.”

This award represents a real accomplishment for PwC Luxembourg as a major player in Luxembourg that has, over the years, continuously improved and increased its support to the development of the ICT community, living up to PwC’s purpose “to build trust in society and solve important problems”.

This year, PwC Luxembourg has further increased its investments towards ICT within various fields to help grow and position ICT in Luxembourg. The launch of the PwC Experience Center has increased its ability to impact the ICT community. During 2018, PwC Luxembourg hosted a large number of external initiatives with a strong footprint in ICT. Amongst others, PwC proposed mentoring to technology start-ups, brought start-up eco-systems closer to the ICT community, executed a Global Service Design Hackathon, etc. PwC has also increased its involvement in leading ICT programmes in the field of Digital, UX, AI, Emerging Technologies and Cybersecurity and is actively supporting the upskilling programme.

PwC Experience Center as a major ICT catalyst in the Grand Duchy

Over the past two years, PwC has deployed a network of Experience Centers across the globe to accelerate the ability to provide digital centric services to our clients. After the recent opening of Experience Centers in Frankfurt, Chicago, Toronto and Tokyo, we were proud to announce the addition of a PwC Experience Center in Luxembourg to this network, as from February 2018.

The PwC Experience Center is an environment as well as a methodology that brings together the Luxembourg ICT ecosystem and works closely with start-ups and platforms.

Patrice Witz, adds, “Our Experience Center breaks down siloes, fosters collaboration and creates an environment where people can think creatively, co-create, prototype and test solutions rapidly.”

The Experience Center is a key component in our transformation. It brings together a breadth of diverse talent across PwC Business, Technology and Experience to solve important issues together with our clients, technology ecosystems and major players in the Luxembourg market.
