Cashcloud is an international provider of a mobile wallet and payment solution which is continuing to grow. The company already has more than 185.000 registered users in Germany, France, Spain and the Netherlands. Our operational headquarters is based in the city of Luxembourg.
Cashcloud turns your smartphone into a wallet. The mobile wallet application spans all of the key functions needed for shopping, payments, sending of money between friends, collecting bonus points, receiving coupons and social messaging – both online and offline. The mobile wallet is rounded out with a Prepaid MasterCard® and a MasterCard® contactless NFC solution that makes cashless payments at more than 36 million merchants worldwide easier than ever before. In addition, the Cashcloud app allows users to send money to each other in real time. To provide a secure service to the young user-base, Cashcloud offers a parental subaccount. Parents can open a Cashcloud account for their youngsters and transfer pocket money to the electronic smartphone wallet. Thus, they have control over the account and the spending of their children.
We are operating an open, neutral and integrated platform that is totally independent of banks, mobile network operators, and device manufacturers; it works smoothly on IOS and Android operating systems. Thus we are targeting everyone who is looking for an independent solution and who has a smartphone and is interested in using it as a payment option. In particular young and innovative users who are more likely to adapt the idea of mobile payment.
The idea came from our Company heads after careful research and evaluation of the mobile payment market. We started with the development of our mobile wallet application at the end of 2012 and launched the beta version in February 2013. Since October 2013 our mobile wallet app has been available in the Google Play Store and App Store. Since then we have continuously improved our application and developed more features to make it more attractive for users. Meanwhile our all-in-one mobile wallet solution sets innovative standards and has already received numerous international awards including the BankingCheck Award, the FinTech Innovation Award, and the Banking IT-Innovation Award.
By the end of 2016 we anticipate that Cashcloud will be operating in 24 countries and in five different currency areas.
